the memories swirl around me,
a colorful abyss of the good,
the bad, the inbetween,
and the abnormally altered.
i can appease the past long enough to only glimpse the reality that is the present.
and i sometimes wonder what things would be like if there was no past.
if, after something occurred, it would cease to exist.
what would the possibilities be like? if there was no past,
just the present, and the future...
i guess it would be something like someone with a short term memory.
what would it be like to have your slate wiped clean...
would you scale success? or would you end up plunging into idiocy?
who knows...
